These two look so much alike to me...

Excited to see her Easter basket filled with goodies!

...Claire didn't have any goodies, so she just sat in her basket...

Lucy has recently learned the word snake...she constantly is talking about 'nakes' and making her hissing noises. So how appropriate was it that this 5 foot bull snake was killed in our backyard. I am still creeped out about this...

Both sitting still and looking at the camera...a miracle!

Melts my heart to see Lucy love on Claire...she really has warmed up to her and is now obsessed with all things baby. She nurses and bottle feeds her babies, burps them, rocks them and places them in all of Claire's seats/bouncers. Adorable!

These two keep me very busy, but are so much fun!

3 months

Claire is 3 months old...I secretly cried over this...time flew by with Lucy, but time really flies with number two. Why must babies grow up so fast? 

Claire smiles all of the time, although these pictures do not prove it

Still working on the sleeping thing...she can sleep 7 hours, but doesn't do it consistently yet.

Still loves to eat and is starting to have some cute rolls on her arms and legs.

She is laughing now!

Loves to watch Lucy while she sits in her bumbo...Lucy loves the audience!

She is officially sleeping in her HER crib...which means Lucy is in the big girl bed. Yay!

Prefers to be sitting up as opposed to laying flat on her back.

If she is on her back, she is rolling everywhere.

Still loves to be held and cuddled!

Sucks on the pacifier, but sucks on her fingers/thumb a lot as well.

Has a bald ring around her head and light brown, curly hair on top.

Lots of people say she looks like her momma...we shall see...

We love you sweet bear and can't imagine life without you!

ELMO

If you know Lucy, you know she is OBSESSED with Elmo. We bought tickets to Sesame Street Live the minute we heard they were coming to Abilene. In fact, we bought them before Claire's arrival and planned on it being a special day for Lucy after her world was turned upside down. Our plans did not disappoint! She had momma and dada all to herself, ate lots of candy and of course got to see ELMO! As you can see from the pictures and video below, she had the time of her life!

She was still in shock that ELMO was sitting right there!

2 months

...sweet Claire bear is 2 months old already....

We have made improvements in the sleeping department...she will now sleep roughly 12-4:30 or 5:00. Feels like a full night of sleep at this point!

LOVES the swing...she sleeps in it most of the time 

Loves to eat and is very efficient at nursing

Loves to cuddle and sleeps best while being held

Smiles and coos all of the time!

She likes to be swaddled loosely

Loves to suck on the pacifier

Hates the car seat, but enjoys riding in the car

Is rolling over both ways (was very surprised when she rolled over from her back to stomach last week...seems a little early)

Has excellent upper body and head control

Is losing her hair...another bald Hardaway baby!

Watches Lucy play and turns to her voice when she is out of sight

Hates being naked, but enjoys a warm bath once in the tub

Weighed 11 lbs 2 ozs and was 22 3/4 inches long at check up

If she is going to be fussy, it is usually between 9-11 pm

Has the longest fingers I have ever seen on a baby!

1 month

Claire's one month birthday has come and gone (she is now 7 weeks), but thought I would share her 1 month pictures. As you can see from the pictures below, she thought the no clothes idea was awful. Claire's sweet chipmunk cheeks serve as evidence that she loves to eat. She also LOVES to be held, preferably on your chest...think I finally have myself a cuddly baby. She is not our best sleeper, but we are SLOWLY making progress....

   

 

This picture makes me laugh...I promise I put clothes on the poor girl at this point!
