5 months

...Claire at 5 months...

As you can tell by her sweet cheeks, she is still an excellent eater!

Started solid foods and loves them...sweet potatoes and pears thus far

Rolling everywhere

Prefers to be on her tummy for sleep and play

No longer wants to be swaddled, prefers her sleep sack

Wants to be rocked or swayed to help her relax and fall asleep

Has a hilarious belly laugh

Talks very LOUDLY

Still dealing with dry skin, especially on her head

Tons of drool and chewing on everything

Is holding toys in her hands

Sits up unassisted briefly

Sooooo laid back...Lucy sitting on her, being hit with toys, Lady licking her in the face...nothing really bothers her.

Has lost all of her hair, but it looks like some blonde hair is starting to grow in.

Has the sweetest smile and shows it to us a lot!

No longer uses the pacifier...loves her left thumb

Sleeping 11-12 hours at night...happy momma!

Taking 2-3 naps a day

Loves her exersaucer!

Loves bath time with Lucy...laughs and laughs at her.

Still loves to eat! 

Is a very active baby...see previous post...

Hates to be laying flat, wants to be in an upright position, so she can see the action.

Loves to watch her big sister and the TV.

Drool, drool and more drool.

Has very dry skin and is therefore always greasy from frequent aquaphor applications.

Loves to play on her tummy, but gets mad if she rolls on her tummy during the night.

Is grabbing at the dangling toys on her play mat.

Smiles ALL of the time!

Is loud when she coos...guess you have to be to get some attention in this house!

Likes to be swaddled from the waist down while sleeping.

Sucks her left thumb, but will stay take the pacifier as well.

Likes to be rocked to sleep at night...a major no-no if you read the books, but I don't care.

Is ready for some food...she watches us like a hawk when we eat. 

Laughs at Lucy more than anyone...melts my heart.

13.3 lbs and 24.5 inches

Sweet girl, you have brought us so much joy!! We love you!

Houdini baby...

...I recently found Claire like this...

Just dangling from her swing, with her face where her bottom should be. She was strapped in to the swing when I left her, not tightly but for sure strapped...and Lucy was not around her. The crazy girl was smiling when I turned her over. Houdini baby is now strapped into all baby gear VERY tightly! 

Claire's Christening

On May 6, 2012 Claire was baptized at the Church of the Heavenly Rest. It was a very special day...beautiful service, family and friends, a sweet baby...all serving as reminders of how truly fortunate we are. A day we will always remember!

Big Girl bed

Lucy has been in her big girl bed for 2 weeks now and is doing great. This momma worried way too much about the transition and was very surprised when it wasn't a big deal. After her bath the first night, we made a HUGE deal about laying with her in the bed and reading books. After we left the room, we watched her on the video monitor (so convenient).  She got out of bed twice, but fell asleep quickly after being tucked in the third time. We can tell she LOVES the big bed! There is now a whole new routine of her wanting me to lay on the 'illow' and read books to her. Every morning I find her propped up on her pillows, reading her books like a queen. Sweet girl!
